Bodyguards & Assassins

Haven't watch this? Go watch it! This is a superb show with lots of HK top actors- Donnie Yen, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Leon Lai, Nicholas Tse, Simon Yam, Eric Tsang (his is very funny) with some cameo (really, cameo) roles by Jacky Cheung and Michelle Reis. Actors aside, this is a really good movie. Nothing boring about Sun Yat-sen, pretty nice action movie with lots of kung-fu fighting but for the weak heart, there's some pretty bloody scene. Take note, if you're afraid of seeing people attacked with hooks- you can imagine so.

Say hi to Sailormoon!

The one thing that I'm still stuck to no matter how much I've grown.
I have no shame to say that I LOVE Sailormoon and I still read the manga whenever I can.
I had since buried and sealed them into a box (and hoping that mom did not find it and throw it away!) =P
Everyone shout Moon Power!!!

Say hi to refreshing eye mask!!

I love love love this eye mask!
One day, I'm just so tired, I could just fall asleep right after dinner...and it's like only 8.30 pm.
Me and sis was watching "Gong Sam Gei" so I don't want to snooze off just yet.
That's when I decided to use my Body Shop eye mask that I buried inside the fridge for a good long time!
I just put on the eye mask but I keep on "watching" the drama through the sound of it, feels like old aunties that listen to the drama aired on radio station.
Ok, back to the eye mask, it' so refreshing the moment I took it out.
The coldness of the mask makes me so awake.
It's like the best cure to sleepiness - I ended sleeping at 12 am like that.
Those of you that DO NOT have this eye mask, it's totally a MUST BUY.
But I don't know how much it cost now. I can't remember how much I bought it too.
Available at all The Body Shop outlets but of course, there's other brands as well.

Say hi to ...boredom

I am mad.

My eyes are sore.

I am bored.

I just slept, now I want to sleep again.

I am staring at the computer, don't know what to do.

I should leave. Haha.

In loving memory of...

To Daul,

It's been 3 days since you have passed on. I hope you are at a better place right now. I hope you are lonely no more and I hope you will find your happiness and peace that you never had here. I never knew who you were and you do not know of my existence. We were both strangers but I somehow felt connected to you. The pain that you go through is beyond imaginable- it took courage for you to hang yourself- but I am not saying suicide is the right way to end your miserable life. I wish you could reach for help. I wish I could help. We all wish we could do something but in the end, it is too late. You have left.

You will be dearly missed. May you rest in peace, Daul.

And, for a tribute to Daul, all of my post title will be starting with "say hi to..." in famous Daul way as what she does to her blog.

Love and kisses,
xoxo

May you rest in peace

R.I.P Daul Kim (5/31/89 ~ 11/19/09)

Why would you choose to end your life? Why does suicide ever comes to your mind? What have you been through? The questions will never be answered. To many, Daul is a top model, having her career skyrocketed since her debut a few years back. Being a frequent reader of her blog, I personally was convinced that she committed suicide the moment I found out that she was dead. The message are pretty clear and being just a fan, I thought she was being too tired and are going through her "rebel angsty stage" where most 20 years do go through. Sadly, her's are beyond that, she must have gone through a lot more.
Like these:
  • "maybe i didnt live long enough to know."
  • "-what i do is not a bad occupation someone is always willing to pay.
  • +i would find it
  • tiring."
  • "the more i gain
  • the more lonely it is"
  • "i know i'm like a ghost
  • i have nothing"
  • "it must be so nice to be loved ..."
This is very sad, disturbing and depressing. May you find your happiness, Daul Kim.

Another Clinique splurge

Everything comes with a story and for me, it's so hard to say no to any Clinique products because I'm just so in love with them.

I've been trying to find a suitable perfume since I finished using my Happy Clinique one. I tried Versace Versense - it's seductive but comes with a pricier tag. So, when I head down to my fave Clinique counter last weekend, gosh here's the products that I spent on.

Get Happy set -RM120
(Happy Clinique perfume and lotion)

I thought why not use the same perfume again since I like the scent a lot and come with cheaper tag. The lotion is equally nice smelling.

Total Moisture set -RM170
(Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, Moisture Surge Face Spray & Gloss in Grapefruit)

Moisture surge is my definite must have for my everyday skincare. One moisture surge costs me RM160 alone so by paying more RM10, I get the face spray and the lip gloss- why not? It's so worth it!

Then, there's there 1-2-3 steps which has now broaden itself -the more I purchased, the more steps I need to squeeze into. Cleanser, toner, concentrate, moist, moist again and sunblock and when the skin's dry again- re-moist!

So, in a bunch , it looks like this!

Or this much in a better structured view.
By the way, total spend is RM290- another hole in my purse.....

Then she woke up.

Must be the sound of my phone camera.

She's cute, isn't she?

Midnight Awake

Blogging at this wee hours only shows one thing- that I'm still awake despite it being 12.08am and that I have work tomorrow (mind you, I need to wake up at 6.30am) -which means that I have approximately 6 hours to sleep.
I've been feeling awaken lately. I am terribly tired when I finish my job; half asleep when I'm waiting for my bus (sometimes, I just fall asleep) but whenever I'm in front of my laptop- the time just flies so fast, the next thing I know it is past 12.
If only I have more control over my time.....Time to sleep now. Really.

Stupid Poslaju

I don't have to explain how frustrating Poslaju services is.
I was dead worried that my courier would be send to my house when I'm working and truly, it did. Poslaju left me a note saying that my item is with them at Poslaju Cheras near Taman Shamelin Perkasa.
Now, this is when all my nightmare begins.I have never been to Cheras except for Jusco Maluri (does that count?). My perception of Cheras is that it is near to Kajang, which I was told was way too far. Cheras is at KL, Kajang at Selangor. See?
My only transport around is the good old LRT, and, I can walk too but how far?
Now, I need to get my item soon but I'm at lost as to how I can reach that stupid office.
I called to their call centre and the operator told me to pick-up from their office, no redirect to their HQ or sending it back. What? Cause last time, I had directed that same item to the HQ now they say they can't do it. I ask to send back, they say have to wait after 14 days after nobody pick it up.
Really.Really frustrating!!

C510 : A trial

I have wanted to buy this phone since my phone are giving trouble to me. After much consideration, I decided to get it last Sat at my hometown which costs me RM660. I was very excited, I like everything I see albeit the contents transferring at quite a slow pace. The camera is good, very clear until I discovered that it couldn't save anything I took. So, I restarted the phone and it was clear to me that this phone have a problem. The minute I took a pic, it directed me straight to the default menu. I was shocked and immediately called back to the shop. Mom drove me back to the shop in the evening. The shop assistant said that she need to upgrade the software in the phone. Those inside the phone might be outdated. Outdated? For a brand new phone? I'm not convinced so she refunded me. I got a good view of the phone but didn't experiment much. I was too worried I bought a spoilt one. Another downside is that this phone does not come with a data cable so how am I going to transfer my pics and songs into it? For now, I'm not going to buy a new phone. I still like this one. Perharps, I'll buy the same model in the near future or until my Nokia 5300 has gone completely nuts.

So true

I was recently reading Reader's Digest Singapore's version when I stumble across this article, "11 Things Your Boss Won't Tell You". These are my fave 5:

1. The company is in trouble
-There are rumours of redundancies and tough financial times ahead. Until things are really dire, we're likely to remain tight-lipped.

2.Solutions not problems
-Don't come marching into my office with a problem if you have't got any suggestions about how to fix it. That's called whinging, "If you truly want change, come prepared with some ideas".

3.You deserve a pay rise

-If you feel you are due more money or a promotion, be proactive and ask for it. Don't wait around for us to pat you on the back and make the offer. It's not going to happen.

4.You run your personal life from your desk
-We will rarely pull you aside if you are always on Facebook,eBay or the phobe organising your personal life, but do you honestly think we don't notice? Rest assured we do!

and, finally

5. You should resign
-Do you feel like you've hit a dead end in your current position? Unless you're seriously underperforming, don't wait for us to show you the door.

Too Young

Let me introduce you to BY2 , a pair of twin sisters from Singapore that is the current top group in Taiwan. Their image is , as you can see , is cute, after all they're only sweet 16. They sound a little more mature in their albums- very nice songs too.
But, if this is consider young, then what would you have say about these other three young new models. Let me start with Auguste. She's just 14 and came from Lithuania. What made her famous is that she cried (tears flowing down) on the runway at Jil Sander.
Then, there's Monika Jagaciak that started modeling when she's 12 or 13. Jac, as she is known was made famous when she was banned from the Australian Fashion Week. She was 14. One year later, she walks the runway of New York and Milan and is now fronting the Calvin Klein collection for the Fall Winter collection. The next time you flipped through a magazine and see this shot, remember she's only 15.Last, there's Frida, who at 16 is as the same age as BY2. Now, compare her look to those of the twins- do they even look as the same age? Frida's biggest job to date is opening the Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2009 runway. I know that Asians are fairly younger looking than their Western counterparts but by exploiting these girls at such a young age, I do not how young is considered acceptable to start working. Sadly,we will be seeing more and more younger teenagers in this entertainment industry as the demand get bigger.

Toner

My first facial care brand is Clean & Clear- which all teenagers used, I believe. I was a loyal customer, I used it throughout my secondary school years. Until one day, I decided to stop using it and experimented with other brands. I can't remember what exactly did I use after that- some mix of Biore, Neutrogena, Loreal and Nano White. I only started using Clinique when I started working. With all the stress and aging, I definitely need something better. I had always admire the Neutrogena's Alcohol- Free Toner, it's delicate to the skin and remove quite an amount of dirt from my skin but the second I started using Clinique, it all makes the difference. This is where the yin and yang comes. Neutrogena is alcohol free while Clinique is alcohol based. But, as far as removing dead skin and dirt concerned, Clinique did a far better job. It comes with a price though, basically Clinique is by 5x more expensive than Neutrogena. So, here's my summary, Neutrogena's toner is affordable and mediocre at delivering while Clinique does the job but a a pricier tag. Which is your pick? You've already know my answer.

Petronas Commercial

(look at how in love Tan Hong Ming is..aww..)

(this is my fave)

(better than mastercard)

(this is so touching)

(this is so funny)

In memory of the late Yasmin Ahmad, these are some of my favourite Petronas commercials.
I do not know whether she shot all of these but she certainly made famous the ones she shot.
Petronas commercials will never be the same again without her. May you rest in peace.

New Clothes

I have to stop buying new clothes considering this much is what I bought dating back until (I can't really remember, my wild guess would be) 2 years ago?!That was the special case for the far right batik printed blouse I bought from a Thai fair. The rest are bought this year. Just a bad habit of mine, I'll keep these new clothes in the plastic bags and hide it inside the drawer. Whenever I bought something new, it goes inside my drawer and then I forgot about it and I kept buying new things! I have not even wash them, let alone wear them. =P

Kampung

This is what a little village looks like. Sorry for my bad snapshot. Say Hi to Sg. Muntoh at Titi, Jelebu. If you visit this place, you can see that every single house is in different designs. Some are big because they renovated it but some still looks like the typical kampung house. Mind you, these people are quite well off with the rubber estates that they own but it's the kampung life that they enjoy which I agree to but poor me have to work because I do not own any rubber estate. Anyone kind enough to give me one? =P

Overspending

Gosh, I had already lost count on how much money I used for this month alone- all thanks to non-stop shopping during the (still ongoing) Mega Sale. Everything was like 50% and 70% and without even noticing, there goes my very hard-earned money. I dare not total up the bills. I don't know how much I've spent and I rather not know. Speaking of money, Bank Negara had come up with the new RM50 note, which is more "hi-tech" than the current one. But, I think it looks so fake that when I use at The Curve today, the cashier had to scan it under the barcode scanner.

Dehydration

A recommendation to all of you who, unfortunately, like me have dry skin. This moisturizer really works to dehydrate your skin. I am wishing that Clinique will also come out with a solution for the body. Perhaps, a moisture surge body lotion? The best thing is it does not leave a sticky or oily feeling to your face. It is instead quite cooling and after a while, you would not even notice that you had applied anything onto your face. The thing is, I have always love Clinique products and with this, I'll even adore it more!

R.I.P MJ

Yes, I know that I'm a little late at this but he is truly a legend in his own right. No matter what controversial issues he had, one can deny the power of his songs. In the end, he will be remembered as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Saying Hi!

Hi Folks!

This is my first entry into my first "not anonymous" blog. I've been keeping a secret identity in my others blogs which I do not intend to share here. But this will serve as the medium to my other blogs. Let's just put it this way, things that I can't write there will be written here and vice versa. My intention of putting this blog up is just simply to share my thoughts on things - be it in entertainment, education, sports or just simple things like what I had for my lunch. Feel free to leave comment if any. Until then, signing off.
