So true

I was recently reading Reader's Digest Singapore's version when I stumble across this article, "11 Things Your Boss Won't Tell You". These are my fave 5:

1. The company is in trouble
-There are rumours of redundancies and tough financial times ahead. Until things are really dire, we're likely to remain tight-lipped.

2.Solutions not problems
-Don't come marching into my office with a problem if you have't got any suggestions about how to fix it. That's called whinging, "If you truly want change, come prepared with some ideas".

3.You deserve a pay rise

-If you feel you are due more money or a promotion, be proactive and ask for it. Don't wait around for us to pat you on the back and make the offer. It's not going to happen.

4.You run your personal life from your desk
-We will rarely pull you aside if you are always on Facebook,eBay or the phobe organising your personal life, but do you honestly think we don't notice? Rest assured we do!

and, finally

5. You should resign
-Do you feel like you've hit a dead end in your current position? Unless you're seriously underperforming, don't wait for us to show you the door.

Too Young

Let me introduce you to BY2 , a pair of twin sisters from Singapore that is the current top group in Taiwan. Their image is , as you can see , is cute, after all they're only sweet 16. They sound a little more mature in their albums- very nice songs too.
But, if this is consider young, then what would you have say about these other three young new models. Let me start with Auguste. She's just 14 and came from Lithuania. What made her famous is that she cried (tears flowing down) on the runway at Jil Sander.
Then, there's Monika Jagaciak that started modeling when she's 12 or 13. Jac, as she is known was made famous when she was banned from the Australian Fashion Week. She was 14. One year later, she walks the runway of New York and Milan and is now fronting the Calvin Klein collection for the Fall Winter collection. The next time you flipped through a magazine and see this shot, remember she's only 15.Last, there's Frida, who at 16 is as the same age as BY2. Now, compare her look to those of the twins- do they even look as the same age? Frida's biggest job to date is opening the Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2009 runway. I know that Asians are fairly younger looking than their Western counterparts but by exploiting these girls at such a young age, I do not how young is considered acceptable to start working. Sadly,we will be seeing more and more younger teenagers in this entertainment industry as the demand get bigger.

Toner

My first facial care brand is Clean & Clear- which all teenagers used, I believe. I was a loyal customer, I used it throughout my secondary school years. Until one day, I decided to stop using it and experimented with other brands. I can't remember what exactly did I use after that- some mix of Biore, Neutrogena, Loreal and Nano White. I only started using Clinique when I started working. With all the stress and aging, I definitely need something better. I had always admire the Neutrogena's Alcohol- Free Toner, it's delicate to the skin and remove quite an amount of dirt from my skin but the second I started using Clinique, it all makes the difference. This is where the yin and yang comes. Neutrogena is alcohol free while Clinique is alcohol based. But, as far as removing dead skin and dirt concerned, Clinique did a far better job. It comes with a price though, basically Clinique is by 5x more expensive than Neutrogena. So, here's my summary, Neutrogena's toner is affordable and mediocre at delivering while Clinique does the job but a a pricier tag. Which is your pick? You've already know my answer.

Petronas Commercial

(look at how in love Tan Hong Ming is..aww..)

(this is my fave)

(better than mastercard)

(this is so touching)

(this is so funny)

In memory of the late Yasmin Ahmad, these are some of my favourite Petronas commercials.
I do not know whether she shot all of these but she certainly made famous the ones she shot.
Petronas commercials will never be the same again without her. May you rest in peace.

New Clothes

I have to stop buying new clothes considering this much is what I bought dating back until (I can't really remember, my wild guess would be) 2 years ago?!That was the special case for the far right batik printed blouse I bought from a Thai fair. The rest are bought this year. Just a bad habit of mine, I'll keep these new clothes in the plastic bags and hide it inside the drawer. Whenever I bought something new, it goes inside my drawer and then I forgot about it and I kept buying new things! I have not even wash them, let alone wear them. =P

Kampung

This is what a little village looks like. Sorry for my bad snapshot. Say Hi to Sg. Muntoh at Titi, Jelebu. If you visit this place, you can see that every single house is in different designs. Some are big because they renovated it but some still looks like the typical kampung house. Mind you, these people are quite well off with the rubber estates that they own but it's the kampung life that they enjoy which I agree to but poor me have to work because I do not own any rubber estate. Anyone kind enough to give me one? =P

Overspending

Gosh, I had already lost count on how much money I used for this month alone- all thanks to non-stop shopping during the (still ongoing) Mega Sale. Everything was like 50% and 70% and without even noticing, there goes my very hard-earned money. I dare not total up the bills. I don't know how much I've spent and I rather not know. Speaking of money, Bank Negara had come up with the new RM50 note, which is more "hi-tech" than the current one. But, I think it looks so fake that when I use at The Curve today, the cashier had to scan it under the barcode scanner.

Dehydration

A recommendation to all of you who, unfortunately, like me have dry skin. This moisturizer really works to dehydrate your skin. I am wishing that Clinique will also come out with a solution for the body. Perhaps, a moisture surge body lotion? The best thing is it does not leave a sticky or oily feeling to your face. It is instead quite cooling and after a while, you would not even notice that you had applied anything onto your face. The thing is, I have always love Clinique products and with this, I'll even adore it more!

R.I.P MJ

Yes, I know that I'm a little late at this but he is truly a legend in his own right. No matter what controversial issues he had, one can deny the power of his songs. In the end, he will be remembered as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Saying Hi!

Hi Folks!

This is my first entry into my first "not anonymous" blog. I've been keeping a secret identity in my others blogs which I do not intend to share here. But this will serve as the medium to my other blogs. Let's just put it this way, things that I can't write there will be written here and vice versa. My intention of putting this blog up is just simply to share my thoughts on things - be it in entertainment, education, sports or just simple things like what I had for my lunch. Feel free to leave comment if any. Until then, signing off.
